THE SPIRITUAL WAR

Silent war
Within the walls of bones
I carry my cross in the Jerusalem
Inside my soul

I went to war
Without leaving home
Climbed the mountains
Of torment in the
Kingdom of moan

In the times without a soul
I wage a spiritual war,
Within me
Doesn’t matter if God exists
Or maybe not
I wage a spiritual war
Within my soul

She often comes to me
With all her vices of Venice
And the ancient Rome
But I won’t break or stumble,
Though stinging pain and torture
Will be my only reward,

He wakes up in
My soul
With all his golden
Rings of power and
Mesmerizing glow
But I won’t bow or stumble
’Cause I wage a spiritual war
Within me

Like every ore needs fire
To be born in its pure form
I’ll reach my final shore
Through my spiritual war
