NEMO

I set myself on fire to
See through the dream of dreams
In the kingdom of prana
I cut my veins with
The splinter of faith
To find myself a father

I cut off my limbs to see
How far I could walk
On the blade
Blazing above the day and night
I tear out my eyes to
Catch the true face of colours around
Tick tock! Nemo
Who am I ?
Beneath the layers of time
I really don’t know.

I make myself deaf to
Hear the mysterious voices of
Plants, reptiles and bees
I turn myself dumb to
Be dazzled by miracles
Like a new-born child
Nemo
I am deep in the spirit root
Growing through the flesh vessels of me

I whip myself with the
Scorching sun of Oman to
Be kissed by the cool breeze of
The desert night
I put myself in a pitch-black coma
Just to see how to better live
I drown my heart in the sleazy orgies of
Sodom and Gomorrah
To be raised from the blind near
The river of Jordan

I crush my bones to
Rise higher from the ground
I break the reality mirrors just to grasp
Who I was and I am meant to be
In the lives ahead of me
I bathe myself in the red rain
To wrestle the alien nightmare
That is about to come
Will I ever hunt the shadow of
My own Ātman?

So many distant names and lives of me
So many soul passers-by that used to be my families
In the spins of saṃsāra and Dukkha
Nemo
I am deep in the valleys of me
